About Ziggy

John “Ziggy” has been a cherished part of the Hillview ADHC community for about a year and a half. Each day he walks through the doors, he brings with him a genuine warmth and an appreciation for the friendships he’s built here, connections that make each day a little brighter.

Ziggy especially looks forward to the daily activities, with chair exercises being a favorite part of his morning routine. He often shares how much he values consistency, feeling that it plays an important role in keeping him strong and healthy. Music is another highlight of his day. Whether it’s tapping his foot or singing along, Ziggy truly comes alive during live performances. A lifelong fan of The Beatles and all kinds of music, he finds joy in the small groups that visit and fill the room with energy and nostalgia.

A devoted Red Sox fan, Ziggy enjoys keeping up with the team and is feeling hopeful and excited as they begin to gain momentum this season. It’s just one more thing that sparks conversation and camaraderie with those around him.

Beyond the center, Ziggy has a deep love for technology. He studied FORTRAN programming, one of the earliest computer languages and he even built his own computer. To this day, he continues to repair and build computers as a hobby, a true testament to his curiosity and skill.

Above all, Ziggy is known for his kindness and welcoming spirit. He enjoys connecting with others, sharing stories, and making new friends. His positive outlook and appreciation for each day are felt by everyone around him, making Hillview a better place simply because he’s part of it.
